Maintenance Tips for Longevity
Our premium vinyl decals are built to last 5–10+ years. A little care goes a long way toward keeping them looking sharp season after season.
Rinse After Every Saltwater Use
Salt crystals are abrasive and accelerate adhesive breakdown. Rinse your hull with fresh water after every saltwater outing, paying attention to decal edges.
UV Protection Extends Life
Apply a marine-grade vinyl protectant with UV inhibitors 2–3 times per season. This prevents fading and keeps the vinyl flexible, reducing edge cracking.
Wash Gently, Not Aggressively
Hand-wash with pH-neutral boat soap and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh detergents, or high-pressure washers aimed directly at decal edges.
Annual Inspection
Once a year, inspect all decal edges for lifting or cracking. Catching early peeling lets you press edges back down before water works underneath.
Winter Storage Prep
Before storing for winter, clean decals thoroughly and apply a UV protectant. Avoid storing under tarps that trap moisture against the hull — opt for breathable covers.
